Architects Biography
Margine Biswas was born in Nicaragua and brought up in Honduras. Biswas studied art and architecture at the University of Texas in Austin, and received her Texas architectural registration in 2006. Her childhood interest in art led her to a career in architecture.
Biswas is involved in community affairs including serving at AIA; she Co-Chaired Women in Architecture committee and is the editor of AREForum.org an online resource for the architectural community. she has written several articles in trade publications.
Throughout her career, Biswas has created projects which express a contemporary vocabulary. She is mainly interested in relationships between the experiences of space as it correlates to the experience of urbanism and the ways in which architecture can create a forum for thought and expression. Recently, Biswas’ practice has focused on creating public spaces such as restaurants and retail and combining these with her interests in art and architecture through sketches and renderings.
Before founding her firm, Biswas worked for different architecture firms in the Dallas area. She has worked passionately on various residential and commercial projects ranging from user specific facilities to speculative office buildings. Biswas has traveled extensively throughout the world to countries including Mexico, Argentina, Australia, India, France, Italy, Switzerland and many more. She is married and has two children.
